Accessibility Statement
Last updated: October 7, 2026
The October 7 Memorial 2026 site is committed to making the memorial experience accessible to as many visitors as possible, including those using assistive technologies.
Standards we aim for
We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA, in the design and development of the memorial.
What we have done
- Used clear, readable typography with sufficient colour contrast.
- Provided visible focus states for keyboard navigation.
- Labelled all form fields and controls for screen readers.
- Designed the layout to work on phones and desktop screens.
- Enabled keyboard operation of the gateway and video controls.
The memorial video
Where available, the memorial video includes subtitles in multiple languages (DE, EN, ES, FR). The video player supports keyboard operation and standard media controls.
Feedback
If you encounter any accessibility barrier while using the memorial, or have a suggestion for improvement, please contact us. We take accessibility feedback seriously and will make reasonable efforts to address it.
